Restorative Journeys Project CIC welcomes referrals from professionals, including probation officers, prison resettlement teams and family members, as well as self-referrals from people who have recently left prison. We offer specialist counselling and emotional support to help individuals navigate life after custody.

Eligibility criteria:

• Men aged 18 or over
• Released from prison within the past 12 months
• Living in the Hampshire area

Information required for referrals:

• Full name, date of birth, fixed address and contact details (telephone number and/or email address)
• Confirmation that the individual has consented to the referral
• The prison they were released from and the length of sentence served
• Probation officer contact details, where applicable
• Registered GP or GP practice
• Mental health history and the specific support needed, such as support with anxiety, depression, PTSD, trauma processing or group work
• Relevant medical history, along with any licence restrictions or safeguarding concerns we should be aware of

What happens next?
We aim to process all referrals within 3–5 working days. If the referral meets our eligibility criteria, we will contact the individual directly to arrange an initial assessment. If it does not meet the criteria, we will return the referral respectfully, with feedback where appropriate.
